Screen printing becomes a reality!

I4IGM has received generous funding from the Mudd-Nick Foundation this year, and one of the projects we have funded is the ability to print our own T-Shirt designs. We have a Silhouette Cameo printer, and 12X12 vinyl stock to create large stencils. Those are affixed to a screen and blue taped to the edges of the frame. Squeegeeing the ink into the exposed parts of the net causes the image to be printed on the t-shirt.

Our first trial run is the 6 OBOB t-shirts for our OBOB team, they compete at Regionals on March 18th.

The next project is for I4IGM, we will be creating t-shirts for all team members and selling some in the community as a fundraiser. We are purchasing silver ink, and the t-shirts are green, so the effect should look like a circuit board.
